Certain UK Companies may be required to submit a report to HM Revenue & Customs under the US Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act legislation.
Certain UK Companies (such as Trusts and Personal Investment Organisations) may be required to submit a report to HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC) under the US Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act (FATCA) legislation. The deadline for filing is 31 May.
Relevant companies may need to have registered with the US Internal Revenue Service (IRS) and HMRC. Under certain circumstances, reports about the individuals from the US connected with those companies need to be submitted to HMRC - together with details of the investments held by the company.
Relevant companies should review their position to establish whether they have any FATCA registration/reporting obligations.
