International Coordinator (Assistant)

We are looking for an enthusiastic and talented individual to join our growing team as an International Coordinator. We have a particular focus on the international tech sector and advise some of the most exciting and fastest growing companies in the world. This is an administrative role with a difference - you’ll be assisting with clients’ growth across the world!

You will also support the very busy team to develop contacts with our worldwide Local Service Providers (LSPs), building relationships and developing in-country knowledge and cultural awareness.

We are not looking for previous experience, but you will need strong communication and organisational skills and an engaging personality.

Some of the key responsibilities:

Multi-territory coordination

  • Assisting with set up for clients as they expand into different territories
  • Acting as a coordinator for the client’s international affairs including global taxes, accounting, banking, financial, legal, company secretarial and compliance
  • Keeping track of work progress
  • Coordinating the set up of clients and tasks on the database

Business Development

  • Maintaining and monitoring LSP relationships and identifying others
  • Assisting with international marketing and proposal materials and identifying opportunities
  • Ensuring appropriate engagement paperwork is in place
  • Attending meetings / calls with LSPs and clients. Taking minutes and following up
  • Assisting with international invoicing
  • Maintaining the database
  • Providing support on ad hoc international projects
  • Ensuring good communication between teams
  • Preparing reports for partners and directors

Processes

  • Assisting with international engagements, WIP and billing
  • Identifying and implementing enhancements to existing procedures
  • Liaising with credit control departments

Payroll Assistant

We are looking for a candidate with approximately 2 years of payroll experience to join our growing, sociable team.

You will gain an in-depth knowledge of UK and international payrolls as part of this team of 18, working on a variety of exciting clients with real career opportunities.

What we would like from you:

  • Approximately 2 years of practical work experience (no less than 18 months), ideally dealing with clients in a practice environment or in-house
  • Payroll software experience (STAR preferably but not essential)
  • Strong IT skills and sound knowledge of Excel
  • Strong communication and client service skills
  • Strong analytical skills and good attention to detail
  • Ability to manage own tasks, good time management and able to work under pressure to tight deadlines

You’ll be managing and processing a portfolio of UK and International client payrolls. This may include bonus and commissions, stock options, benefits, Auto Enrolment pensions and some international assignees:

  • Acting as the first point of contact for the client and to answer any queries
  • Provide legislative and technical advice to clients and colleagues
  • Attend meetings with the senior team members
  • Request funding and ensuring all net salaries and PAYE payments are made accurately and on time
  • Ensure all statutory liabilities for international clients are paid on time
  • Set up new clients on the UK payroll system and register PAYE schemes
  • Develop working relationships with the international payroll providers
  • Review of work done and raising invoices for clients

Management Accountant

We are looking for a highly motivated and talented individual to join our award winning and growing International Financial Outsourcing team as a Management Accountant.

We have a particular focus on the international tech sector and advise some of the most exciting and fastest growing companies in the world, as well as a number of dynamic entrepreneurs and thriving private businesses. We therefore need people with engaging personalities as well as great skills.

This role will be dedicated to performing day to day accounting and reporting operations for a varied portfolio of clients. You will need strong experience in preparing full monthly management accounts and working to strict reporting deadlines.

What are some of the key responsibilities?

  • Control of a portfolio of clients, ensuring all client reporting and payment deadlines are met
  • Preparation of monthly journals; comprehensive multi territory and departmental salary journals, prepayments, accruals and depreciation
  • Preparation of accurate departmental monthly financial reporting packs for review, ensuring any anomalies are solved promptly
  • Preparation of compliant VAT returns
  • Organising source documentation received from clients and delegating information to Financial Administrators (FAs) for client updates, ensuring expectations are clearly defined
  • Supervision and training of FAs, answering queries where necessary ensuring any work delegated is reviewed for correctness
  • The review of payment runs
  • Maintaining excellent relations with clients, acting as a key point of contact, responding effectively to routine queries and resolving any issues
  • Understanding client contracts, ensuring a thorough understanding of the contracted scope of work so that fees can be agreed for any additional work requests, and the raising of special bills once said work is complete
  • Assisting team as and when required
  • Assistance with yearend procedures and liaising with client auditors

  • Strong experience in preparing full monthly management accounts
  • Excellent IT skills and strong accounting system experience
  • Ability to manage own tasks, good time management and able to work under pressure to tight deadlines

  • Good understanding of VAT reporting requirements – imports, sales and purchases of EC goods and services

Manager, UK Tax Services

We are looking for a qualified Tax Manager to take on this rewarding role. You need to have excellent UK corporation tax / deferred tax knowledge, outstanding client service skills and the ability to help manage a strong team.

What are some of the key responsibilities?

  • Responsible for own portfolio of clients (compliance and consulting on corporation tax, employer tax, indirect tax/duty)
  • Manage the Tax team, with some strategic focus
  • Offer input on and contribute to the development and evolution of the team budget
  • Responsible for engagement letters and KYC for own portfolio of clients
  • Day-to-day responsibility for tax filings for own portfolio
  • Develop the staff, offer guidance and advice to Consultants looking for support on certain matters (technical or otherwise)
  • Provide excellent client service
  • Develop positive, professional relationships with other teams within F&L

What are the essential requirements?

  • Professionally qualified with ICAEW, ACCA or CTA
  • Ideally experience working within professional services
  • Excellent UK corporation tax/deferred tax knowledge and ability to share that knowledge with team and colleagues
  • Ideally experience of VAT and employment taxes although support will be given if required
  • Outstanding client service skills
  • Working with senior individuals employed by our clients (CFOs, CEOs etc)
  • Commercially aware in terms of financial targets, client service, business risk and efficiencies
  • Seen to take responsibility for clients
  • Ability to work under pressure and deal with client service issues
  • Team player
  • Good communicator
