Senior Management Accountant (Qualified ACA / ACCA)

We are looking for a highly motivated and talented individual to join our multi award winning and growing International Financial Outsourcing team as a Senior Management Accountant.

We have a particular focus on the international tech sector and advise some of the most exciting and fastest growing companies in the world, as well as a number of dynamic entrepreneurs and thriving private businesses. We therefore need people with engaging personalities as well as great skills.

This will be a varied role, where no two days are the same. You will need to be a fully qualified Accountant with a practice background and have strong experience in reviewing full monthly management accounts and working to set reporting deadlines.

What are some of the key responsibilities?

  • Full review of management accounts, ensuring technical accuracy and any anomalies are investigated and resolved before submission to the client
  • Control of a portfolio of clients, ensuring all client reporting and payment deadlines are met
  • Preparation of complex financial reporting packs (revenue reconciliations, comprehensive multi-currency / multi-territory / departmental reporting, consolidated accounts etc.)
  • Supervision of Accounts Assistants and Financial Administrators, ensuring they are completing their work correctly, providing guidance and training where necessary
  • Review of VAT return submissions, EC sales lists and Intrastat returns, arranging any necessary payment
  • Maintaining excellent relations with clients, acting as the main finance point of contact, responding effectively to reporting or ad hoc technical queries and resolving any issues
  • Review of payment runs and online BACs payment submissions
  • Liaising with teams across the firm together with international local service providers for completion of UK and global compliance tasks
  • WIP and billing control; understanding client contracts, ensuring a thorough understanding of the contracted scope of work and agreeing additional fees where required
  • Identifying and implementing enhancements to the existing routines and control systems to improve efficiencies

What are the essential requirements?

  • You must be an ACA / ACCA qualified accountant
  • Strong experience in reviewing full monthly management accounts, as well as preparation
  • Thorough understanding of comprehensive VAT reporting requirements – imports, sales and purchases of EC goods and services
  • A practice background
  • Excellent technical ability
  • Strong IT skills
  • Ability to manage own tasks, good time management and able to work under pressure to tight deadlines
  • Very strong communication skills and confidence when dealing with clients
  • An analytical approach with good attention to detail
  • Self-discipline, proactivity and ability to make and justify own decisions
  • An enthusiastic, smart-working individual with a "can do" attitude is vital
  • A willingness to learn and grow within a commercial environment where client care is the primary focus
  • Smart and professional in appearance

Audit Manager

We are looking for a talented individual to join our team as a Manager.

The successful applicant must be ACA or ACCA qualified and be a Responsible Individual (RI) or in the process of obtaining RI status.

You must have at least 3 years PQE, have strong experience in managing staff and be used to dealing with a large and varied portfolio of clients in a practice environment. This role will be approximately 80/20 Audit/Accounts.

Tax Consultant - Newly Qualified or Soon to be Qualified

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and talented individual to join our Tax Team.

We are looking for a newly qualified or soon to be qualified candidate with experience in an accounting environment.

The successful candidate will be working with senior members of staff, providing assistance when needed in a fast paced environment where good communication is essential, along with excellent time and deadline management skills.

What are some of the key responsibilities?

  • Working in the Tax Department and reporting to Managers/Directors/Partners with tax planning and compliance work on selected clients
  • Work will cover both corporation tax and VAT compliance, as well as other tax-related statutory filings
  • You will quickly become responsible for managing your own client portfolio

What are the essential requirements?

  • Nearly qualified or newly qualified
  • At least 2 years’ experience in an accounting environment
  • Corporation tax
  • General tax treatment, deferred tax and at least some capital allowances, R&D and share scheme experience
  • VAT compliance
  • Registrations and returns and preferably import and export VAT, cross-border sales and MOSS experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Good IT skills
  • Enthusiastic team player
  • Excellent timekeeping skills and the ability to manage deadlines
  • Attention to detail

Would be advantageous:

  • Interest in developing junior team members
  • Language skills
  • Tax consulting experience
  • Understanding of accounts, personal tax, payroll

HR Administrator (client-facing)

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our International Payroll and HR team as an HR Administrator, working with international clients.

Prior experience at HR Administrator level or experience in a client-facing role within a professional services environment is essential.

Full study support is provided for a professional CIPD qualification after successful completion of 12 months.

You will gain an in-depth knowledge of UK HR and gain exposure with overseas HR issues as your career progresses. You will work as part of this growing and sociable team of 14, working on a variety of interesting clients with real career progression opportunities.

What are some of the key responsibilities?

  • Managing the employee data for clients on the HR software
  • Completing and issuing employment contracts, along with Staff & Benefits Handbooks
  • Conducting new employee demos on how to use the HR software
  • Checking, recording and filing completed paperwork for new employees
  • Certifying employee right to work documentation
  • Being the first point of contact for clients in relation to HR queries
  • Documenting all HR related information for all employees
  • Keeping up to date with changes in legislation
  • Preparing and updating employee handbooks and client policies when applicable
  • Answering queries and preparing HR related documents / offer letters / contracts / disciplinary letters / termination letters / maternity / paternity
  • Answering any queries from the client on areas such as sickness / holiday
  • Preparing the information for employees on leaving – calculating holidays owing, preparing leavers packs etc.
  • Liaising with the Payroll and Benefits teams regarding new employees / changes / leavers
  • Supporting the HR team with advisory work, research, meeting notes and proposals
  • Management of monthly client invoicing process

Payroll Assistant

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our International Payroll and HR team as a Payroll Assistant, working with international clients.

No prior experience is necessary but would be desirable.

Full study support is provided for a professional payroll qualification after successful completion of 12 months.

You will gain an in-depth knowledge of UK and international payrolls as part of this growing and sociable team of 14, working on a variety of interesting clients with real career opportunities.

What are some of the key responsibilities?

  • Processing monthly payrolls for clients, including HM Revenue & Customs and Auto Enrolment reporting and bank payments
  • Direct contact with clients and their employees
  • Process the funding requests, banking and payments from the clients’ payroll accounts
  • Liaison with our network of international payroll providers
  • Assist with billing, reporting to HMRC and internal controls
  • Supporting our clients’ international expansions 
  • Delivering great client service
  • Liaison with other teams within the firm
  • Setting up new clients
